Biography

Thea Peterson was born in Reno, Nevada and raised in Lima, Peru.  She graduated from high school in San Francisco and received her BA in Christian Education from Whitworth College in Spokane, WA.

She is married to Owen Peterson, who is a photographer, and they have two adult daughters Mary Elizabeth and Heather and two sons in laws.  Thea is a thirty year member of St. John's Lutheran Church.  Her areas of responsibility are Membership and Outreach.  She is passionate about helping members find their place of service in both the church and community.

She speaks fluent Spanish and enjoys translating for Latinos in our community.
