Lenten Wednesdays

March 10-24
5:30 Meal
6:30 Worship

Join us for dinner, graciously prepared by members of Tender Lovin' Cookin' (TLC). Following our time of fellowship, we will gather for worship in the sanctuary. Marty Haugen's musical That You May Have Life proclaims the Lenten Gospel through song. An array of musical styles sets the stage for each of our midweek worship, bringing the emotions of the character to life. Musical selections range from melodic ballads to choral harmonies, incorporating narration, sung dialogue, and corporate song in a way that conveys more than just biblical texts.

Throughout our Lenten journey, we will consider personal stories of faith in Christ's teachings from the Gospel of Luke.

SpiritualGifts Self-Assessment

On Sunday, March 28th, we encourage you to make a special offering to the ministry of Saint John's with your time and talents. Join the members of our congregation in taking the Spiritual Gifts Assessment questionnaire  and see how God has abundantly blessed you with Spiritual gifts.  Upon completing the questionnaire, please score your assessment and the program will automatically produce a bar graph showing clearly where you are gifted.  Print a copy of this graph and bring it to worship as an offering on Sunday, March 28. With this prayerful Lenten process, we hope to identify many new gifts in our congregation and grow in our stewardship of spiritual gifts.  Serving in ministry with your God given gifts promises to bring forth the fruits of his kingdom.
Hard copies are available from an usher.

Do you have 1 day (or more) a week that you could volunteer? Office Volunteers are needed Monday-Friday from 11am-2pm to answer phones & doors while our staff is at lunch or involved in other meetings. You would have a set volunteer day, or days, depending on how many days a week you would like to volunteer. Contact Claudia at 523-3330 or claudia@sjlcknox.org.
